An all White Wedding Card

Wow, I can't believe I have spent all afternoon trying to create this post in Blogger & it just wasn't cooperating, I had to change back to the old editor to work, now I can't make my photos any bigger.

Todays card is a Wedding Card I made for the challenge over at Less Is More.
The challenge was to create an All White Card & as I will need a wedding card later in the month, I used that as my starting point.

The background of the card & the flower are both Velum which has been Heat Embossed with a mixture of white embossing powder & dazzling diamonds glitter & it looks absolutely gorgeous, I never really blow my own trumpet, but it looks like real lace. I have also used the Shimmer Card stock from SU so the whole card dazzles. The rose is one I have made several times before using the Fancy Flower punch.

After I was finished I thought the card needed something else so i decided to add some
diamatees to the corner, I have included a photo with & without so I would love to know what you think.

Maybe I can log back in later to enlarge the photos so its easier to see.

Sorry I haven't been back with the cards as promised using the seam binding, but for some reason I was having a Mojo crisis & was also away all day yeaterday visiting my mum & most of today has been finalising some urgent paperwork.

Back soon

Happy Stamping

Fiona

  1. Your embossing on the vellum looks magnificent... I'd like to blow your trumpet too! Simply beautiful... as to the gems... normally I'm a decidedly less is more kinda gal but I'd like to go with just three either horizontally or vertically, rather than the 5 going around the corner, however having said this, it looks beautiful with or without!
    Thanks so much

  2. WOW! This is absolutely gorgeous. I love the embossed vellum and the rose is to die for. My preference is the card without gems but on saying that they are both stunning. Love Sheila x

  4. WOW! No really! It is just absolutely stunning! The vellum just looks so beautiful...what stamp did you use to emboss it? I have loads of vellum and never used it! This card really has blown me away! I would agree with Chrissie in just having 3 gems, though would white pearls also look good? Just in the photo the gems look really dark.
    Sorry for waffling!

  5. Absolutely stunning card. Love the embossed vellum and that gorgeous rose. Agree that 3 gems is best:) But nothing can detract from such a brilliant creation!

  7. I had the same problem with blogger and apparently it's a reported problem. I switched back to the old editor as well.

This is just so elegant. Both cards look good but if I had no diamantes on hand, then I would just lower the sentiment a bit to balance the flower out.

I also used a Dazzling Diamonds mixture but with Heat & Stick, not embossing powder....something I read somewhere. I used a 50/50 ratio; what about you?

    cheers,

  18. Fiona your card is stunning!
Despite my middle name being 'bling' Id say it was perfect without them....phew I've said it LOL
If you prefer it with, Id put them on the opposite corner to the rose, to balance the elements.
Having said that this is an absolute stunner I love it!
    Thank you
