Wild About Choo Choo

Today I had a very productive day stamping with a friend we managed to put together a few cards using sets we haven't used as of yet. The first card I designed would make a great Birthday card for a young boy. I have versamarked the Train track on the bashful Blue card base, then Crimped Night of Navy before layering with the Real Red.

Sorry about the photo quality, I will have to get some lessons from the talented Sam Post her photos always look amazing.

Card Recipe

Stamp Sets: Choo Choo & Wild About You
Cardstock: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy & Real Red
Ink: Bashful Blue, Night of Navy, Real Red, Old Olive, More Mustard & Choc Chip

The second post is of one of the cards we made at last weeks class using the Tree Trimmings Set from our current catalogue (actually this isn't the original the other one was sabotaged or thats what the girls wanted to do to me by the end of this card) After setting up the string with the stamp-a ma-jig & doing a demo the poor girls couldn't understand why they couldn't line theirs up properly after they gave up & were lining it up by eye we realised we actually were using two tree trimming sets so the one we stamped for the Stamp-a-ma-jig was a different one to the one they were using needless to say there was lots of laughter because we were all saying we just must be having a bad day.
Card Recipe

Another Water Colour Crayon creation

Again another water colour crayon card using the same technique as in the previous post. I have left the layout very simple (thats definately a Fiona trait).
Stamp Set: Inspired By Nature & Upsy Daisy
Water Colour Crayons: So Safron, Rose Red, Regal Rose & Always Artichoke.
Cardstock: So Safron & Rose Red

Upsy Daisy Water Colour Crayon

Well after owning my water colour crayons for close to 2 years this is probably only the 2nd or 3rd time I have used them. & I love the effect
I have stuck to the layout I used on previous Upsy Daisy cards
As for the stamp I first misted it with water & then drew straight onto it with the crayon I then misted it again lightly before stamping onto Whisper white cardstock. I then finshed with some dazzling diamonds.
Stamp Set: Upsy Daisy
Water Colour Crayons: Pixie Pink; YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Lovely Lilac & Gable Green
Cardstock: Pixie Pink & Yo Yo Yellow

How time Flys

Well I cant believe 2 1/2 weeks have past since my last post, I did have good intentions to keep regular posts happening but seemed to have dropped the ball once again the upside is I been doing lots of creating I just need to take some photos during the day time.
The cards below were made using the Petal Pizzaz stamp set I have kept the layout very simple & with clean lines. I loved using Riding Hood Red with the Whisper White & the flowers finished off with a white pearl from the Pretties kit, the second card I have added So Safron for a little warmth & finished with a little Bling Brad also from the Pretties kit

A Post at last & Boys will be Boys

Let me start by saying I am sorry I haven't updated my post for 2 months I don't even have a good excuse other than life has been extremely busy, & my first post isn't even stamping.

But I just love these photos of my son & for those who know him, know he spends 95% of his time outside playing, working with his dad or riding his beloved motorbike & on this day he spent most of the day riding but towards the end of the day he couldn't resist riding through the near empty dam & bogging his bike, By the time he had walked back to the house to get a rope & the 4x4 bike & trailer to pull his own bike free & put it in the back, it was nearly dark my husband intent on teaching him a lesson, let him do this on his own after not coming up from the dam for about 10 minutes Robert & I got in the car & drove down to find he had now bogged the 4x4 bike, at this point I am in hysterics laughing & Robert is cursing because he didn't want to get covered in mud anyway all was good & when they got back to the shed James still had to clean his bike & as you can see he was still enjoying himself, its a bit of a competition with his dad when they are ride together, he who comes back with the most mud WINS!!!!! & he knew he was a winner. What can I say Boys will be Boys & still be cute
