Loads of Love

Todays post is a birthday card I made for a young cousin using the Loads of Love set.
I didn't realise till I finished the card that the orange in the DSP is actually Pumpkin Pie not Only Orange that I have used for the base card, I guess a 6 year old is not going to worry to much.
The striped DSP i have used is retired although you could replace it with any other stripe or pattern & use coordinating cardstock.

To occupy my nights in the motel room I started on my Convention Swaps, I managed to get about 30 done & at this stage I have about 6 designs made which I hope to make about 10-15 of each maybe more.

Harvest Time

Totally not stamp related but thought you all may like to see these photos I took a couple of weeks ago its currently Harvest time in our Vineyard .
Sorry the photos are not the best quality but it is about 6.15 in the evening & they have just started to pick the Chardonay variety, they have to pick early evening or before dawn because the white grapes need to be at the winemakers before they start to ferment which happens faster as the temperature rises, this is also why we use the harvest machine. All the Red Varieties are hand picked during the day as they are a little more forgving.

Star Spinner Card

Yesterday my son had a 9th Birthday Party to attend & he wanted me to make a spinner card after deciding Sesame Street characters would not be appropriate we tried it with a star from the In The Stars Stamp Set & it worked perfectly. The rest of the card was kept simple as per my sons request.
Card Recipe
Stamp Set: In The Stars & Its Your Birthday
Cardstock: Brillant Blue, Real Red & Basic Black
Ink: Ballet Blue & Stazon Black
Accessories & Tools: Mounting Tape, Dimensionals, 2 x 5cents, Spiral Punch, Small Star Punch & Brads
