Inkspirations Challenge & Some Vintage Seam Binding

WOW it's been so long since I participated in Makeesha's Inkspiration Challenge, after seeing the colours, I thought I should change that, these colours were screamin vintage to me, but as I am not having any luck with vintage I went with a CAS card instead using the Sketch from the Sweet Sunday challenge (sorry Blogger won't let me go back & insert Sketch picture) another challengeI haven't participated in for a long while, so without anymore waffling here is my card.
It uses the Everyday Button Bits stamp set from PTI, everything else is pretty self explanatory.

Also wanted to share with you my attempt at creating some vintage inspired seam binding using the colours from the challenge  It's just GORGEOUS!!! I first saw it on Etsy & thought I could make that.

I coloured white seam binding that I have For Sale with SU reinkers & then dried off with my heat gun.

I will put together a Tutorial when I have a little more time, but if you need to know now you can email me & I can give you the steps to follow & a few tips.

I have used the Perfect Plum reinker  for this one

This one has been coloured with the Crumb Cake reinker

This one is coloured with the Pretty in Pink reinker. I also coloured some with Old Olive & Baja Breeze.

I hope you agree they are GORGEOUS, I may even colour some more & add it to the plain seam binding already for sale.

Bye for now
Happy Stamping

  1. Sweet card for this challenge. Loving how you coloured those ribbons with the re-inkers. What a great idea and it will match perfectly! Do you dissolve the ink into some water first?

  3. The card is adorable. Love the sparkly border!

And that seam binding looks absolutely awesome! I bought a roll of Vanilla seam binding for that exact purpose when it came out but have yet to dye any! Thanks for the inspiration. :)
