Upsy Daisy Workshop

Well hopefully I am back on track to some regular posts I have been busy preparing for my all day Upsy Daisy workshop I held on the weekend, we had a great day with lots of laughing & creating. As you can see from the pictures the workshop was held in my house with 2 tables in
family meals area & another 2 in our lounge dining it was a pity 2 have the tables in different rooms but it worked out OK, at least when my new room is built I will be able to comfortably seat 24-30.
Annamaree, Christine, Coralee, & Emily (my daughter)
Jen, Helen, Erica & Christine

Tracy, Di & Alex

Ellen, Roz, Bridget & Celina
the prize to the noisiest table of all there was certainly a lot of laughing going on

Goodie Bags

Clearing the way for my new Craft Room

I just wanted to share a couple of photos of my husband Robert & son James (arn't they just a pigeon pair each with their own toy) clearing away excess dirt in preparation for the footings to be dug on my new craft room its... so exciting I can't wait & neither can my husband I know he is a little over all of my stamping stuff taking over the house. I am hoping to be in there mid July all going well (reminds me I must put some more pressure on our builder friend) .
I will keep you up to date with the progress.

Loads of Love

Todays post is a birthday card I made for a young cousin using the Loads of Love set.
I didn't realise till I finished the card that the orange in the DSP is actually Pumpkin Pie not Only Orange that I have used for the base card, I guess a 6 year old is not going to worry to much.
The striped DSP i have used is retired although you could replace it with any other stripe or pattern & use coordinating cardstock.

Harvest Time

Totally not stamp related but thought you all may like to see these photos I took a couple of weeks ago its currently Harvest time in our Vineyard .
Sorry the photos are not the best quality but it is about 6.15 in the evening & they have just started to pick the Chardonay variety, they have to pick early evening or before dawn because the white grapes need to be at the winemakers before they start to ferment which happens faster as the temperature rises, this is also why we use the harvest machine. All the Red Varieties are hand picked during the day as they are a little more forgving.

Star Spinner Card

Yesterday my son had a 9th Birthday Party to attend & he wanted me to make a spinner card after deciding Sesame Street characters would not be appropriate we tried it with a star from the In The Stars Stamp Set & it worked perfectly. The rest of the card was kept simple as per my sons request.
Card Recipe
Stamp Set: In The Stars & Its Your Birthday
Cardstock: Brillant Blue, Real Red & Basic Black
Ink: Ballet Blue & Stazon Black
Accessories & Tools: Mounting Tape, Dimensionals, 2 x 5cents, Spiral Punch, Small Star Punch & Brads

Retired List is out & Blossoms Abound Card

Hi Everyone,

Its that time of year when Stampin Up releases it's retired Stamps & Products list before the release of our new 2009-2010 Catalogue& as predicted products are already listed as unavailable, Check it out here

It's sad to see them go but also an exciting time will the arrival of New Stamps, Papers
& the new In Colours.

One of the sets I am going to miss is Blossoms Abound which is on the retired list & also 25% off which brings it down to $34.46. So I thought I would share with you a card I made a little while ago ( I must really get around to to creating some more recent ones although time is of the essence)
Actually while waiting for my photo to upload & thinking of more recent cards to photograph I have just realised I don't have a camera, I have been using my daughters for the last few months because my dear husband misplaced mine the last time he was motorbiking & he has taken the children including my daughters camera camping for six days ( Ah... the serenity) but the time has passed to quickly & I am off to finish our Quarterly BAS that was due Friday before the accountant arrives at 9am in the morning (nothing like leaving it to the last minute)
