Simply Silhouettes

Hello Everyone,

WOW it's been a stinker of a day here in Canberra 32 degrees & we had our first sighting of a Brown Snake at the house today, Emily spotted it whilst she was mowing on the ride-on. We know there are lots of snakes around as I have seen them on the driveway, but it kind of freaks me out when they are seen so close to the house, we had one on our door step a couple of years ago up & ready to strike & I went into hyperventilate mode. Enough about snakes or I won't sleep.

So , whilst the family were watching something boring on TV I headed out to my craft room & made a quick card for the Less is More challenge which was to use a Silhouette stamp.

The stamp I chose is from Hero Arts & hadn't seen any ink until tonight. I chose Sahara Sand as my base & some Melon Berry satin ribbon for a hint of colour. I now have another birthday card for my stash.

I hope you have enjoyed my card & thanks for dropping by.

Happy Stamping
Fiona

  2. Fiona, What a super pretty card. I love the simplicity of it. CAS has alwyas been my favorite and what I tend to do most of the time. The pink goes so well with the sand. Great touch with your little gem in the corner and I love those butterflies on the inside. Enjoy your weekend.

  11. Beautiful card and so stylish. I love it! I freaked out when I read your opening paragraph - I can't even watch snakes on TV and when I once saw a grass snake, even though I know they're harmless, I had a bit of a meltdown! So completely understand your feelings on the matter!

  20. Lovely card! I hope you can get rid of that snake as soon as possible - I know they have a right to live, but it's not nice when they get to close to the family... take care! Lena

  25. That is such a lovely card and image!
Lucky you with high temperatures. Here in Norway its around freezingpoint and we have had rain and fog now for weeks and weeks. Can't remember the last time I saw the sun and a blue sky. It's dark almost all day long and really depressing! But we don't have the snakes though!
