ESAD Autumn Winter Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Good Morning everyone & welcome to my first ever Blog Hop!

I hope you're ready for the ESAD Blog Hop! Better grab yourself a cuppa as you'll be hopping for a while!
What is ESAD you say?

ESAD stands for Extra Special Australian (and New Zealand) Demonstrators& it's an online group just for Australian & New Zealand demonstrators for Stampin' Up!

We so love what we do & not only do we love to share it with our customers, friends & wonderful blog visitors but we share our love for what we do with each other as Demonstrators. We run swaps, challenges, tutorials, product know how & cyberstamps & we are always there to help & support each other when it's needed.

So if you are a Stampin' Up Demonstrator located in Australia or New Zealand then please feel free to click here to join our wonderful group.
Well for those that follow my blog may have thought they were somewhere else as I am the first to admit I am the worst at writing lovely scripted post but I will try harder today.

For some you may have come here from the talented Felicity Fernandez or you may well be starting here either way enjoy the ride.

If you don't have a copy of the Autumn Winter Mini catalogue just click here to see all the wonderful products on offer including the Bigshot Die Cutting Machine & dies exclusive to Stampin' Up. If you would like to receive a hard copy please email me at rfplatzer@bigpond.com
& I can pop one in the mail.

The first product I want to showcase is the Vintage Vogue Stamp set available in Wood Mount $40.95 & Clear Mount $30.95. I just love it & it would have to be one of my favourites but then I luvvv them all. I have chosen a blue theme for this set of cards, but would also look great done in Plums, Pinks or Kraft & highlight colour.

This card was made using the Top Note die , flowers & greeting from the Vintage Vogue set finished off with Rhinestone brads from the Pretties Kit & grosgrain ribbon.

This card again uses the Top Note die from the Bigshot range but this time I have cut off the perforations on the white piece to allow for the Night of Navy border.

This card is a similar card to what is in the catalogue but I have finished it of with some Hodgepodge Hardware & grosgrain ribbon.

my last card in this set uses the flower again but finished off this time with pearls from the Petties Kit.

The second & third product I want to showcase is the Top Note die $42.95 from the Bigshot range & the 2 Step bird punch $30.95.
The set of note cards I have made use the Top Note Die did I mention just how versatile this die is. To make the card I have folded a piece of cardstock in half & placed it just below the perforations on the top of the die & then put it through the bigshot. I have then used the 2 Step Bird punch (which are a new design that folds down flat for storage). I have punched the leaves in Kiwi Kiss & the bird in the In Colour range & his wing in Matching DSP.
The note card box was made to fit the four note cards in nicely.

My last lot of products to showcase is the new colours we have Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, & Rich Razzleberry. I have also used the coordinating ribbon & the Share a Cup Stamp just $11.95 a must have to add to the collection.
I have made a set of three note cards perfect for sending a quick hello or thank you to friends & family & I have finished the card off with a pearl from the Pretties Kit & some Hemp Twine.

As with previous Blog Hops we are offering Blog Candy. All you need to do is complete the blog hop leaving a comment on every blog & then Email Sharlene at stampwithsharlene@hotmail.com who will then in turn put your name into the draw for the Blog Candy. There will be one winner from New Zealand & one from Australia.

So now its time to Hop on over to the very talented Gail to check out her creations.

Hope you have enjoyed my blog & I look forward to reading your comments.

Sneak Peak

Just a quick sneak peak post before tomorrows blog hop, I have been fiddling with blogger to work out how to schedule posts, so lets see how it goes.
The card below uses the top note die from our Autumn/ Winter Mini catalogue as well as the 2 step bird punch. We made this card at class last fortnight but I told the girls to keep it under wraps because i may use it as my convention swap with some minor tweaking, but will now have to make up another design, let me know what you think.

Thanks for looking & hope your back for tomorrows Blog Hop

In addition to your fabulous starter kit ($560 of products and business supplies for just $324) you will get a bonus stamp set of your choice - up to $79.95 in value.
Please give me a call if you'd like to take advantage of one of these great Sale-a-bration specials. I'd be happy to help.

I have posted below some pictures of cards made using the Sale-a-bration sets.

Very simple design could be used for Male or Female by changing the colours.

This card was designed by my upline Roz Vest

Again a great card that can be used for male female or children just by changing the colours.

I love this card the birthday cake image is so easy to colour & looks great

This card I have cased of Splitcoaststampers with a few changes, again very simple but so effective.

This card uses the bird cage from the Happy Moments set, I have also used En francis' for the background as well as Baroque Motifs.

I love the tag concept on this card using the birthday cake from the Happy Moments set, the idea came from Spliltcoast stampers. I think the ribbon & paper piercing just finishes it off nicely.

This was the first card I made using the birdcage from the Happy Moments set, it's hard to tell from the picture but the birdcage is recessed in the circle frame.

This was a card I made using wide oval punch to make a pot & then putting it through the crimper, I first used this idea on card I submitted in a colour challenge back in January (check out previous posts). I also tried something different for me by wrapping a brad around the ribbon .
If you would like any further information on any of the cards or to make a purchase for Sale-a-bration please contact by Email@ rfplatzer@bigpond.com
I'd love to here your comments.

This card is a case of a card made by Nikki Tidbold that I received at regionals in Sydney & was made by the older girls.
This card was made by the younger girls they used the watercolour pencils to colour then blended it with Blender pen .

This card was made by the boys as well as the Skull card using Pacific Point Colour & the boys also made the Green card from the Just Riding stamp set from an earlier post.

Makeesha's Challenge #17

Well I am back today with an entry into Makeesh's Inkspirations challenge www.makeeshabyl.com.au , as soon as I saw the colours I hoped I would have time to make a card & I was lucky enough after our monthly workshop that I was family free, so this is my entry below.

It is a little hard to see from the photo but the bird on the branch is mounted up & his chest is coloured lightly in Cameo coral & the So saffron background has been given the seersucker effect & I have also coloured the white thread on Chocolate Chip Ribbon with the So Saffron Stamp & Write marker. I would love to know what you think so please feel free to leave a comment.

Father in-Laws 90th Bithday Card

Hello again,
Since I last blogged I have had a busy few days it was my Father in-laws 90th Birthday, we are very lucky he is still healthy & active, & managed to receive his drivers licence for another year. The family organised a surprise birthday party which was held at our house ( a last minute venue change due to the extreme heat we have been experiencing). My hubby decided also at the last minute that he & a couple of other dads would take the kids camping for 3 days so I was woken up at 4am by 2 very excited children & my upline & myself held our monthly workshop today.
For my father in-laws birthday I made 2 cards for my husband to pick from & he chose the first card. I cased this card from splitcoast stampers site with a few changes, the second card is based on the first with a layout change.
Card recipe:
Stamp set: Lovely as a tree
Cardstock: Kraft, Chocolate chip & Kiwi kiss
DSP, chocolate chip ribbon & brads
Accessories: Circle scissors, various punches & piercing mat

Accessories: Choc Chip ribbon , summer sun brad , paper piercing tool & eyelet border punch.
