First Copic Colouring attempt

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday my Copics arrived so whilst hubby was out last night I set about having a little practice, I coloured a few different images, trying different techniques for shading & colouring. I am really happy with my first attempt although I may just have to purchase some more line image stamps.

And today I made a couple that were OK, into cards. I have tried to keep both cards reasonably simple & would love to know what you think.

The first card uses an A FREE digi stamp from Buguboo, I love how he has turned out, although my photography doesn't show the shading very well. As for the card itself, I could have moved the image over a little & I am not sure what it's missing. I did try to add a button, but it just wasn't right, so I decided on a few little red bling spots & to be truthful I dont like them either but they were stuck down already.

For my second card I used the hippo image from the Pun Fun stamp set, the shading is showing a little better in this photo, just not 100%. Again I kept the card simple by using the Happy Birthday wheel from SU & some satin ribbon & button & a little Crystal effects to the balloon & centre of the bow.

Bye for now

An all White Wedding Card

Wow, I can't believe I have spent all afternoon trying to create this post in Blogger & it just wasn't cooperating, I had to change back to the old editor to work, now I can't make my photos any bigger.

Todays card is a Wedding Card I made for the challenge over at Less Is More.
The challenge was to create an All White Card & as I will need a wedding card later in the month, I used that as my starting point.

The background of the card & the flower are both Velum which has been Heat Embossed with a mixture of white embossing powder & dazzling diamonds glitter & it looks absolutely gorgeous, I never really blow my own trumpet, but it looks like real lace. I have also used the Shimmer Card stock from SU so the whole card dazzles. The rose is one I have made several times before using the Fancy Flower punch.

After I was finished I thought the card needed something else so i decided to add some
diamatees to the corner, I have included a photo with & without so I would love to know what you think.

Maybe I can log back in later to enlarge the photos so its easier to see.

Sorry I haven't been back with the cards as promised using the seam binding, but for some reason I was having a Mojo crisis & was also away all day yeaterday visiting my mum & most of today has been finalising some urgent paperwork.

Back soon

Some cards from Class

Today I want to share with you some cards we made at my class last night.
The first card was made using my new favourite colour scheme, with goodies from PTI, this card is similar to some I posted earlier in the week, I just stepped this up a little for class, I also added little bling since I photographed it.

The girls all really liked stamping with the PTI stamps, so I will definitely be using them more in my classes from now on. I have also decided I with go ahead with a Boys All Day Card Workshop in July date to be decided, as some of the ladies want to make cards just for boys ranging from 7-16. I will base the workshop around 3-4 of the Latest Release PTI stamps for April, if you would like more information please Email me with your interest so I can keep you informed.

The second card we made was one similar to one posted on my blog earlier except it was in Blue, again it was kept reasonably simple, with just some Embossing, Ribbon & glitter to finish. I also left the card blank so it could be used for any number of occasions including Mothers Day.

Please check back over the weekend as I was able to purchase some SEAM BINDING & am dying to create some cards with it, I will also have it some available to sell as I purchased 100yrd rolls, I have white, cream, dark purple, dark red. aqua, dark pink, that match SU card stock & I also have brownish grey & a bright blue. I just need to photograph them & work out a price.

The card this card is based on a card I found on splitcoaststampers by Ann Schach. I changed the colours, Flower, sentiment & ribbon but the layout is basically the same

A coordinating box to hold some gifts.

A For You stamp & Kerri's favourite Lindt chocolate wrapped in DSP.

& finally a personalised journal just for Kerri.

I still have a couple of cards to share so I will be back a little later with those.

Secret Sister Gifts for March

Today I want to share with you what I made for my Secret Sister for March, one of Kerri's favourite DSP's was Elegant Soiree, So I based the whole gift around the DSP.
I used the new set called Nature Walk & did a little collage stamping & finished the whole set of the lots of Glimmer Mist spray.

 Whole gift Set

Some collage stamping for the card & a gorgeous antique brad to finish.

Gift box made using Big Shot die, which contained a small heart punch.

Local handmade soap wrapped in DSP & topped with a butterfly,  Embossing Folder wrapped with DSP & topped with a hand made rose.

Close up of the rose , so you can see how beautifully it glimmered (probably not a real word but I am going to use it anyway).

Off to teach a class now.
Thanks for looking.

One of Kerri's favourite stamp sets is Priceless & she loves girly things. So this is what I created for her end of month gift for February. I did make another 2 cards for February but not sure if I took photos as I can't seem to find them.

Using my new Goodies

Well it's Saturday night here in Oz & that means the Less is More challenge is up & this weeks challenge is a Thank You or Congratulations card. Thanks again to all the lovely ladies who took time last week to leave a comment.

I decided to use some of my new goodies from PTI for the card, I chose one of the Flower Fusion stamps, but decided on some felt for the flower, that is cut using one of their coordinating dies. The card base is Hawaiian Shores from PTI which is just gorgeous might I add. The colours for the card came about when I was unpacking the box & the 3 lots of card stock I ordered Hawaiian Shores (aqua) Royal Velvet (purple) & Chartuese (olive green) looked so good together, I just knew they would make a great card.

I kept the card simple by adding 2 score line, some faux stitching & I can't forget the matching button .

I hope you like my card as I am really happy with it.

Something New

HI Everyone,

How has your day been, I have had an alright day, but I can't wait for school to go back on Monday, does anyone else's children constantly bicker with each other for no particular reason. Mine do & I am sure its just to make their mother stressed. The good thing is I can go & lock myself away in my studio where I don't have to listen to them & that's exactly what I did.
I managed to make a couple of cards & the 1st one uses a digi stamp that I got from BUGABOO as a FREEBIE, you should check out their site as they have so many cute designs including some great adult stamps with coordinating sayings, I will try to get back to share one over the weekend.
I have used the sketch from Sweet Sketch Wednesday & the cute frog digi to create my card. All paper is from Kaisercraft & card stock from SU.

I am off to watch the Royal Wedding now, although I have another card that I may get back to share otherwise it will be tomorrow.

Less is More Challenge 2

This is my second card for the Less is More Challenge "Off Centre".

Once again THANKS to all those ladies who took time out to leave comments on my previous challenge posts, I have a little more time on my hands this week so i should be able to visit lots more blogs.

This card is made using the Iris Stamp from Penny Black & would have to be my favourite of the two mainly because the Iris is my favourite flower & they make me smile hence the sentiment.

Thanks for looking & for all the lovely comments.

Just for you

I have had a little more success creating today & actually created 2 cards for the Pals Paper Art Sketch challenge the first one I have to share is using the tea cup from the Tea for Two stamp set & the Doiley Die from PTI.
I wanted this card to be striking hence the choice of Basic Black & Daffodil Delight & just a little Cherry Cobbler for some WOW, I then finished it off with quite a large bow.

I hope you like what I have created I will be back to post my second card.

I've Lost my MOJO

& the PLOT I think, I have spent all afternoon & night in my craft room & created only one card & still not 100% happy with it. I have just come inside now at 11pm to post it & discovered that I made it using white instead of cream (that could have possibly made it easier). The challenge was over at CRE84FN & the colours were Aqua, Light Blue & Cream. When I fist saw the colours I thought they didn't really go together but the have grown on me ( very calming & I needed that) although I did have to dig deep to find some Aqua, I found some card stock & a Tombow marker in the stash & I decided to use Bashful Blue for the Light Blue.
My Dies from Papertrey Ink got another good workout, I have used one of the dies to cut out the Doiley & another for the flowers. I have used the Delightful Doilies stamp also from PTI for the background & Bashful Blue DSP from SU.

Bye for now I am off to find my MOJO!!!!

White on White with some spring flowers

Hi,
I can't believe it's been over a week between posts where has the time gone, I do know I've been busy making my final cards & gifts for my Secret Sister & the kids are home on school holidays & not a lot else.
The card I have to share today is one I made on the weekend for the Stampin Celebration challenge but forgot to post it till now & I have just made the cut off by a couple of hours. The card is a very simple one but I wanted to capture the colours of the eggs & the pink bow on the hat.
Would love to know what you think.

I hope to be back over the Easter weekend with a few more cards to share.

Same but different

Today's card to share is one just like the pink one from a previous post. Now that I am free to use whatever I like at my classes I jumped at the chance to use one of my new favourite stamps Tea for Two  from one of my new Favourite companies Papertrey Ink for one of the cards.

I decided to change the colour to Red & added a little flower & bling to the Teapot & I think the ladies were really happy with what they made. They always have a choice of sentiments so they can personalise the card to suit.

If you live in the Canberra area & would like to come to one of my classes please contact me by email.
My next Class is Sunday 17th April @ 1.30pm & we will be make 3 cards with envelopes & decorated inserts.

Would love to hear you comments!

Technique Card

After our late night last night the whole family had a sleep in, I won't tell you what time to, but I will say the fact that it is raining delayed getting up for quite a few hours. I must say we haven't done this for years & the only bad bit is that it has eaten into my crafting time.

As promised though I have card to share from my class this week.
We used the sponging technique to create the background, after we has masked off a 1cm border with post-it notes.
The colours used were Tangerine Tango, Pumpkin Pie  & Daffodil Delight. I kept the card very simple by adding a stem from the Stem Silhouettes Stamp set & a sentiment from Sincere Salutations, mounting it onto black card stock then the Tangerine Tango Base.

I hope you liked my card!!!

Just one card

I can't believe where the day has gone, I had great intentions of spending the whole day crafting BUT did that happen NO. In the end I probably only spent an hour in my room. I did get one card made for a couple of challenges
The first challenge was Colour Lab Challenge & the second Create with Connie & Mary.

I am not 100% sure on the card I made but decided to post it anyway. Would love to hear your comments.

I did type this post up earlier today but for some reason Blogger wouldn't let me upload any pictures, so after a lovely evening spent with friends having a few drinks around the fire outside I tried again & all seems OK so far just lets hope it posts OK.

I will be back tomorrow to show you a Technique card that we made at this weeks class & hopefully a few more challenge cards

Some News to Share & Stamp Sale

Well as of about 2hrs ago I am no longer an Stampin' Up demonstrator, this decision hasn't been an easy one but something I know is for the best. I will continue to use SU products as I don't think anything compares to the card stock & inks, but I want to be able to post things onto my blog with links to where I purchased without the fear of being dobbed by other demo's. My only regret is the feeling I am letting my Upline Roz & my downlines Louise,Alex & Michelle down, at least I know Roz will keep being a fantastic upline to the girls.

Enough about that news, I have some other things I would like to share.

Would you like to know when I update my blog, if so you can subscribe to receive my posts directly to your Inbox, just fill in the subscription box in the sidebar.

Stamp Sale
Who doesn't love a sale.
Tomorrow evening I will be adding a huge list of Stampin Up stamps that I wish to sell. Some are from the current catalogue, some are current Sale-a-bration & other are retired or rare. I have priced them all to sell & what doesn't sell will be added to EBAY the following weekend.

Now I can't leave without showing you a card. I actually made this one for an upcoming wedding with a Sketch from the Inspiration challenge, the only problem was I didn't follow the sketch so needless to say I didn't upload it.

Hope you like it.
